In this article, we explain how you can import and post bank transactions via CSV.
To import your CSV into Kontera, the following requirements must be met:
- The CSV file contains a header row with labels
- The CSV file contains no other rows before the data
- All transactions in the CSV relate to one specific account
- The account is kept in only one currency (no multi-currency accounts)
You can use the following CSV as a template:
Importing the CSV file
Now select your CSV file for the import:
Account mapping
This is followed by mapping the appropriate ledger account. Make sure that the transaction currency of the transactions in the CSV matches that of the account. Kontera automatically points out the configured account currency to you:
Mapping the columns
In your CSV, the data is divided into various columns. Kontera will already try to do the mapping for you based on the column names. If you use our template, this should happen automatically.
You can then import the transactions. Then check whether Kontera has imported the transactions correctly (signs, currencies, foreign currencies).
