The following video (German) will show you how to create a cash, postal or banking account (accounts for liquid funds). A cash account is created in the example. Follow the same steps to create a banking or postal account but also add your bank's details.
Important
The account remains in the chart of accounts. You must delete this manually if necessary.
To find out how to set up ESR for your postal or banking account, read "How can I set up orange payment slips for my account?".
Create a Cash Account
To use a cash account in documents such as customer or supplier invoices, first create it in the Banking section.
Instructions:
- Navigate to Banking.
- Click the three-dot icon next to the green "Add Bank Account" button in the top right.
- Select "Create New Cash Account."
Complete all required fields and assign the cash account to an existing account in the chart of accounts. Alternatively, you can directly create a new account for financial accounting.
Advice Types
There are four different ways debtor and creditor transactions can be imported into your bexio account:
- Collective bookings with details: Payment outflows from the same date are transferred to your bexio account as one amount. You also see the recipient.
- Collective bookings without details: Payment outflows from the same date are transferred to your bexio account as one amount, but you do not see the recipient; it remains anonymous.
- Individual bookings with details: All payments are shown as individual transactions with the recipient and amount visible. With this option, fees may apply from the bank. Please inquire with your bank.
- Individual bookings without details: All payments are transferred to your bexio account as individual transactions. The recipient is not visible and remains anonymous. Here, too, fees may apply from the bank. Please inquire with your bank.
