When an employee exits your company, you must record this in the “Employees” tab. To do this, click on the relevant employee and then on the ‘Employment’ tab. Instead of entering “permanent,” enter the departure date and save this information..

Once this has been saved, return to the payroll. Here you will also see the pro-rated 13th month's salary, which is automatically calculated based on the data from bexio, provided you have defined a 13th month's salary.

If the departure date is in the current year, the employees will continue to be displayed under Active Employees. Only when the departure year is the last year will the employee no longer be displayed. These cannot be moved manually. This has no effect on the payroll accounting for the following months.

 

Additional payment after leaving the company

If you still need to pay the employee who has left the company for vacation, a bonus, etc. in one of the following months, you can enter a so-called “additional payment.”
To do this, go to “Payroll” for the relevant month, select “All employees,” and click on the “Query repayment candidates” field.
 

Here you will find a list of all employees who left this year or last year. Select the relevant employee and then click on “Add back pay.”

 

  

Now you can enter one final payroll for this employee and add the required wage types directly to the payroll under “Other wage components.”
