bexio offers the possibility to create projects from quotes and quotes from projects. In this article, you will learn how to create a quote from a project.
Create a quote from a project
In an open project with the status "Open" or "Active", you can generate a quote directly from within the project by clicking the "New quote" button on the right side under the "Document flow" tab.
The following data is transferred from the project to the quote:
- Project title becomes the quote title.
- Titles of the work packages become standard line items.
- Estimated time becomes the quantity for the standard line items.
- If the calculation method "Project hourly rate" is selected in the "Conditions" tab, this rate is used as the unit price for the standard line items.
