This article explains how to import recorded times and expenses for a project directly into a new invoice via the document flow and create them as a draft.
Step 1: Accessing the document flow of the project
-
Navigate to Projects → Projects and open the desired project.
-
Within the project, switch to the Document Flow tab.
Step 2: Create invoice
Click the New Invoice button.
Step 3: Adjust settings and import data
The Create Invoice window opens. Here you can make the following settings:
-
Title: You can adjust the default title of the invoice (e.g., Invoice Project X – Month Y).
-
Date: Set the invoice date. The current day's date is pre-filled by default.
-
Import services: Activate this checkbox to include the recorded times (time tracking) in the invoice.
-
Import expenses: Activate this checkbox to import the expenses and outlays assigned to the project.
Note: If you leave both options «Import services» and «Add project expenses to invoice» activated, all saved project data will be transferred to the invoice most quickly and completely.
Step 4: Complete import and save
-
Click the Save button.
-
The selected services and/or expenses are now directly imported into the invoice draft.
Important: When you click Save, your rounding settings defined in the basic data are automatically applied to the recorded times.
