A standard postal address often requires additional non-geographic details — such as a department, building name, or care facility — to ensure accurate delivery or correspondence. However, these important elements don't always fit within the available standard address fields. Until dedicated fields are introduced, the recommended approach is to record these details using an "Additional Address" within the contact profile.
Summary:
Type of scenarios requiring additional address
Specific Residence/Institution
The address must be preceded or supplemented by the name of the establishment. Example: Alterszentrum Prosenio Bethseda (for Frau Müller)

Large Complex/Building
It's necessary to specify the building, floor, or apartment number for internal routing. Example: Building A, Apt 305 (for Mr. Müller)

Organisation with Internal Service
The address must be addressed to a specific service within a large entity (such as a hospital or university).
Example: Adding "Cardiology Service" to the recipient.

How to Create an Additional Address and Link It to an Invoice
- Go to the Contacts module and select the desired contact (e.g., the client organisation).
-
Locate and click on the Additional Addresses tab.
-
Click the Add Additional Address button.
-
Fill in the fields as follows:
-
Recipient name: Give this address entry a clear name (e.g., University Hospital).
-
Name addition: Enter the main recipient's name (e.g., Cardiology department).
-
Enter the standard address details (street, city, postal code) in the remaining fields.
- Make sure the box labeled "Billing Address" (or similar designation) is checked for this newly created additional address.
Once set as the billing address, this address will be automatically selected by the system when creating a new invoice for the contact.
The details you entered (e.g., "University Hospital - Cardiology department") will be displayed on the invoice within the additional address block. When sending the invoice via email, the system will use the name specified for the contact person in this additional address entry.
