- Click on Search.
The corresponding invoices or documents will be displayed.
Assign an incoming payment to an invoice
After searching, bexio automatically suggests the amounts that can be matched.
- Verify the suggested amount.
- Also verify the posting date, which corresponds to the one entered before starting the search.
- If the information is correct, click the Save icon (floppy disk) located on the right side of the row.
The invoice is then added to the current payment.
You can repeat this operation to assign the same payment to multiple invoices if necessary.
Assign a credit note to an invoice
You can also use this function to assign a credit note to an open invoice.
- Search for the relevant contact.
- If a credit memo exists for this contact, bexio will automatically display it along with the corresponding open invoices.
- Select the invoice to which the credit note should be assigned.
- Click the Save icon (floppy disk) to add the credit notes to the payment.
The credit memo will then be taken into account during posting.
Post the assignments
Once all incoming payments and credit notes have been added:
- Click on book.
- bexio permanently saves the matches between payments, credit notes, and the relevant invoices.
The invoices are then updated with the assigned amounts, and the payment date will correspond to the posting date you selected.
As long as you have not clicked on book, the assignments are not permanently saved.
